Real Talk: Youth Violence, the community discussion to understand youth violence hosted by City of Memphis Mayor A C Wharton, Jr. and Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell has been rescheduled.
Hickory Hill, the Broad Avenue Arts District, and Midtown North are just a few communities that have made great strides in reducing crime since the 2006 launch of multi-agency crime-fighting strategy Operation: Safe Community and the Memphis Police Department's (MPD) Blue Crush data-driven policing. Recently the D.A.'s Mentoring-based Truancy Reduction Program was awarded a grant to further help reduce truancy in the Memphis City Schools. In partnership with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Program seeks to engage qualified mentors from faith-based communities. To read the full story click HERE.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
During the community meeting, residents get an updated on the Drug Market Intervention program currently being implemented in the Hollywood/Springdale neighborhood to eliminate the drug market and transform the community.
